About to finish your course? Consider extending your study to the next level Macquarie Business School (MGSM) program and receive two qualifications at the end of your study. We structure our programs in such a way that each unit you complete can be used to gain credit towards another program. This process of progressing to a higher qualification is called Articulation. For instance, if you are currently completing a Graduate Diploma, you can continue your study and complete eight (8) additional units to obtain a MBA.
A selection panel will make an assessment of your application based on your academic performance as well as your professional goals and achievements.
Apply for articulation by completing the Articulation Application Form by the specified closing date.
Frequently asked questions about articulation
Who can apply?
You can apply to articulate if you:
- Are in your last term of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma program.
- Have achieved a pass or higher in all your completed subjects and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00 (or 4.00 out of 7.00).
Please note: If you are articulating from a single unit program you must meet the entry requirements for the program you are articulating to.
When can I apply?
Apply to articulate in the last term of your current program. You don’t have to wait until you know the results of your final units, but your application will be withdrawn if you don’t receive a pass or higher in all your completed subjects and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00.
You must apply for articulation before the start date of the term in which you want to commence your next program.
Please refer to the Term class/exam dates on the Dates and dealines page to find the start date of each term.
How are articulation applications assessed?
Applications for articulation are assessed by a selection panel based on your academic performance in the program as well as your professional goals and achievements.
When will I be notified of the outcome of my application?
Please note articulations are processed after the census date of the final term of your current program.
If you have applied prior to the census date of your final term, you will be notified of the outcome shortly after the census date. Otherwise, if you apply for articulation after the census date, you will be notified of the outcome within 5 business days.
If you articulate, it means you are enrolling in a new program at MGSM. You need to pay the fees current at the time of articulation.
If you want to take advantage of FEE-HELP for your new program, submit a FEE-HELP form for the new program. The form must be submitted before the census date of the new program's commencement term.
FEE-HELP (Australian Citizens Only)
Students who wish to take advantage of FEE-HELP for their new program must submit a FEE-HELP form for the new program. The form must be submitted before the census date of the new program's commencement term.
