MGSM HDR candidate funding
The MGSM HDR Candidate Funding is for up to a maximum amount of AUD $10,000 during your period of candidature. You can use this funding to assist and support your research expenses including travel to attend and present at conferences, research training courses and thesis printing and binding. Applications can be made at any time throughout your candidature.
The Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund (PGRF) is the main source of central funding available to all Macquarie University enrolled research candidates. The PGRF funding is additional to the MGSM Doctoral Candidate Funding and is aimed at encouraging high quality research.
Applications for funding are normally open twice per year. To be successful, you are expected to be in the mid to late stages of your candidature. All applications are considered on a competitive basis taking into account individual merit and need.
The PGRF is designed to assist in covering costs including:
- attendance at an international/national research conference to present a paper/poster
- archival and resource visits supplementary to the essential research
- access to specialised instruments or equipment
Funding is currently available for up to $5,000. You are normally only eligible to receive PGRF funding once during your period of candidature.
